This page offers information about two Gold Foundation award programs that intersect with GHHS. The selection process for each is managed by individual medical schools who are approved by the Foundation to participate, and often the GHHS Chapter Advisor is involved in administering these award programs. Note that while some participating schools do not have a GHHS chapter, individuals who are recipients of the Tow and HETA awards automatically become members of GHHS.
Director of Program Initiatives, Louisa Tvito and Assistant Director, Michelle Sloane, present an overview of the Tow Award, information on the new procedures (as of January 2022), and how to navigate the award process. Find more information about the Tow program here.
The following Tow Award Procedures and Criteria document gives a detailed look into eligibility to participate in the Tow Award program, the nomination and selection process, required criteria of awardees and more.
Find more information about the HETA award here.
