GHHS Advisory Council Requirements

Application and nomination deadlines have passed.

Once a year, the GHHS Nominating Committe seeks Trainees (Students, Residents, and Fellows) and Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Awardees who are passionate about advancing humanism in healthcare through the Gold Humanism Honor Society to serve on the GHHS Advisory Council and help guide the future of the organization.

Advisory Council Member Requirements:

  • Applicants must be GHHS members.

  • Members will serve a one-year term, starting July 1 (*term is renewable up to two times).

  • Members are expected to participate in three 90-minute virtual meetings annually, as well as attend one in-person meeting during our annual Gold Humanism Summit.

  • Members must serve on a GHHS Sub-committee, meeting once per month. Sub-committees include: Program, Chapter Affairs, Humanism in Practice, and Wellness.

  • Members also support and lead the Student Leadership Forum.
