2019 Gold Humanism Summit

The first Gold Humanism Summit is a special gathering of supporters of humanism in healthcare. Whether you are a GHHS member, a faculty member supporting humanism in your medical or nursing school, an MTL researcher, a healthcare CEO who wants to infuse compassion into your culture — if you are passionate about humanistic care, you belong at our summit. The Gold Humanism Summit will be run in conjunction with the Planetree International Conference on Person-Centered Care, allowing Gold attendees to also join Planetree sessions. Please mark your calendars for Oct. 27-30, 2019, in Orlando, Florida. We look forward to seeing you there for a very inspiring gathering.

  • The improvement of humanistic healthcare delivery
  • Innovative changes to the healthcare setting incorporated into the healthcare environment to increase humanism anywhere healthcare is provided.

Gold Leadership Executive Track

This special gathering brings together healthcare leaders across corporations, hospitals, health professions schools, and any care setting who are paving the way forward in ensuring humanism is incorporated into their culture, their business model, their metrics, and more. Look for more information coming soon.

GHHS Symposium

The Gold Humanism Honor Society Symposium is a chance for our members to come together in reflection of the powerful work they have done to promote and sustain humanism in medicine in their communities. Learn more here.

MTL Symposium

The Mapping the Landscape (MTL) Symposium brings together researchers in humanism in healthcare who have previously been awarded MTL grants from the Gold Foundation. Each year, MTL grantees share updates on their work in this inspiring gathering. Read about the 2018 MTL Symposium.

For the first time, the Gold Humanism Summit will include joint MTL and GHHS presentations, allowing those attending the symposium to hear exciting presentations reflecting work that is happening across the different groups.
