On June 9, 2022, the Gold Foundation celebrated humanism in healthcare, four visionary honorees, 10 GHHS leaders, and two remarkable anniversaries at its Annual Gala in New York City. The ceremony was hosted by Gold Foundation President and CEO Dr. Richard I. Levin and Gold Trustee Dr. Kimberly Manning, both spectacular champions of humanism in healthcare.
The highlights were many. The Northwell Health Nurse Choir lit up the ballroom with inspiring music. Dr. Michele Harper, Dr. Danielle Ofri, Deb O’Hara-Rusckowski, and Steve Rusckowski were honored with the National Humanism in Medicine Medal.
The evening also celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) and the 5th anniversary of the Gold Corporate Council (GCC) with videos commemorating both. Ten GHHS leaders were presented with the National Humanism in Medicine Medal for their contributions over the honor society’s two decades, and each GHHS chapter was also invited to recognize one person who was instrumental to their chapter’s success. Below is a glimpse of this special annual event.
Thank you to our sponsors who made this year’s Annual Gala possible and fueled our mission for the future!
