Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism

Addressing diversity, equity, inclusion, antiracism (DEAIR) and all discrimination to create a just, inclusive, and humanistic healthcare system for all people is an integral part of carrying out the mission & vision of The Arnold P. Gold Foundation.

We work to increase awareness and competency around related issues in our staff and to explicitly incorporate DEIAR principles into our programming and collaborations. Our efforts are guided by this public statement we issued in 2020.

Dismantling Structural Racism Course: Designed by Gold Course Directors Ruth S. Shim, MD, MPH, and Karinn Glover, MD, MPH, in collaboration with the NextGenU.org team and sponsored by The Gold Foundation, this open access professional development course helps healthcare leaders to develop an action plan for their institution, including identifying steps towards dismantling structural racism.
