2021 White Coat Ceremony virtual keynote address for medical schools

Note: This is the form for medical schools to request access to the 2021 White Coat Ceremony keynote video. A new keynote for the 2022-2023 academic year will be released in July 2022. Please check the main White Coat Ceremony page then. For any questions, please reach out to Michelle Sloane at msloane@gold-foundation.org.

The Gold Foundation is pleased to be partnering with the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM), the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) to produce virtual keynote addresses for nursing and medical schools to use in their upcoming 2021 White Coat/Oath Ceremonies. In 2020, as many ceremonies shifted online, the Gold Foundation first offered a keynote recording as an option for schools to include in their ceremonies. We are continuing the tradition this year, with Dr. Barbara Ross-Lee, a medical education legend and the first African-American woman to be dean of a U.S. medical school, giving a keynote address for medical schools, and nursing leader and visionary Dr. Deborah Trautman, AACN President and CEO, giving the nursing keynote. Each video includes an introduction by fellow medical and nursing leaders and is about 10 minutes in total.

This form is designed for medical schools to request access to the keynote address video in order to incorporate it into their White Coat Ceremonies by an esteemed healthcare leader. A similar form for nursing schools is also available. For any questions, please reach out to Michelle Sloane at msloane@gold-foundation.org.
