The Gold Foundation, in collaboration with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), is pleased to share with you a keynote address for your nursing school’s White Coat Ceremony deliver by Rep. Lauren Underwood, a registered nurse, nursing leader, and a Congresswoman representing the 14th District of Illinois. She is also the youngest African American woman to serve in the United States House of Representatives.
Rep. Underwood is introduced on this video jointly by two leaders: Dr. RIchard I. Levin, President & CEO of The Arnold P. Gold Foundation, and Dr. Deborah Trautman, President & CEO of AACN.
This video is designed to be incorporated as part of your school’s White Coat Ceremony. We ask that you do not share it beyond that event, as we would like students across the world to see it for the first time at their White Coat Ceremony. Thank you for helping us keep this video option fresh and new for so many incoming nursing students.
We hope this video is a helpful addition in a time when so many schools are presenting White Coat Ceremonies that are virtual in some way.
