This session was part of Day one of the 2021 Humanism and Healing Conference: Structural Racism and Its Impact on Medicine, hosted by the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS).

Anthropismos is a peer-reviewed humanistic journal that celebrates the Gold Humanism Honor Society’s national initiatives. This year, the class of 2021 piloted this journal to honor the 2020-21 National Initiative- Humanism and Healing: Structural Racism and Its Impact on Medicine. This session taught attendees how to create a peer-reviewed humanistic academic journal.

Aims: 1) To learn how Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine celebrated Solidarity Week for Compassionate Patient Care 2) To learn how to create a peer-reviewed humanistic academic journal

The speakers:

Alison Tran, MA, EdM, is a fourth-year medical student at Quinnipiac University.

Kachenta Descartes is a fourth-year medical student at Quinnipiac University.
