The White Coat Ceremony began at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons in 1993. In honor of its silver anniversary, Columbia created this beautiful video detailing the history of the ceremony, how it began, and the role of Dr. Arnold Gold, the foundation’s co-founder and a Columbia professor at the time.
