Buprenorphine Waiver Training

The Sidney Kimmel Medical College chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society is pleased to invite you to its very first National Buprenorphine Waiver Training. The chapter has chosen to focus its efforts this year on discussing topics that are not always given a great deal of attention in the medical school curriculum, but that greatly impact the ability to provide humanistic care. In hopes of increasing access to medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for patients with substance use disorder, they are hosting a free training open to all U.S. medical students and physicians that will make them eligible for obtaining a waiver to prescribe buprenorphine. The virtual event will be a series of sessions led by Dr. Abigail Kay on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 8 AM to 4:30 PM (with built-in breaks). This event requires registration and will close when it has reached capacity.
