2022 AAMC Conference: Vilcek-Gold Award for Humanism in Healthcare | Voices of Medicine Series: “It’s All about the People: Compassion and Resilience in the Journey toward Health Equity”
The Vilcek-Gold Award for Humanism in Healthcare recognizes a foreign-born individual who has had an extraordinary impact on humanism in healthcare through their professional achievements in the United States.
The Vilcek-Gold Award for Humanism in Healthcare is presented at Learn Serve Lead: The AAMC Annual Meeting. The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) has been a champion for immigrant physicians and their contributions to academic medicine.
2022 Vilcek-Gold Award recipient is Mona Fouad, MD, MPH, Professor, Senior Associate Dean For Diversity and Inclusion, and Director of Preventive Medicine at UAB School of Medicine.
Dr. Fouad will be giving a talk titled, “It’s All about the People: Compassion and Resilience in the Journey toward Health Equity,” at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 12 as part of the Voices of Medicine Series.
