2021 International Nurses Day

Nurses With Global Impact is hosting its 4th & 5th (combined due to the postponement of last year’s event, due to the pandemic) Annual Awards Celebration, which this year is a virtual event!

The Gold Foundation is proud to sponsor this event again this year. Nurses With Global Impact was founded by Gold Trustee Deb O’Hara Rusckowski. The Gold Foundation also nominated one of the honorees, Dr. Cathy Miller, a nursing leader who has worked with anti-human trafficking organizations for more than a decade. Learn about Dr. Miller and her immense contributions to humanism in healthcare.

Special Keynote Speakers

Elissa Ladd, PhD, RN, FNP‐BC, Associate Professor MGH Institute of Health Professionals, former recipient of the 2019 NWGI’s “Inspiring Global Nurse Award” at the UN. Ms. Ladd will present a presentation titled “Nurses on the Front Line.” Accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation. Participants who attend this entire conference will be awarded 2.0 contact hours.

Jenna McKaye, author, speaker, survivor. Founded the Jenna McKaye Foundation in 2016 after overcoming the pain & trauma of being sex trafficked. She lectures frequently, and conducts trainings to healthcare professionals, law enforcement, first responders and businesses. She will tell her story to provide an impactful message, especially for nurses.

There will also be a special tribute to our nurse heroes who have cared for COVID‐19 patients this past year. Please note that this is a virtual event. You will receive the Zoom link after you purchase your ticket.

Because there has been a huge spike in child sex trafficking due to COVID restrictions, Nurses With Global Impact is proud to donate all registration fee proceeds to train more healthcare providers on human trafficking.
