The Patient & the Practitioner in the Age of Technology (Session 1)

Join the Alpert Medical School for the virtual conference series, The Patient and the Practitioner in the Age of Technology: Promoting Healing Relationships. The inaugural session kicks off October 9, 2020, and continues over five sessions where you will explore the impact of the electronic healthcare record and health information technologies on the patient-practitioner relationship.

Conference sessions will specifically examine how human relationships account for software and device design and implementation, ethical stewardship of shared data, and the current best practices for incorporating health information technologies into clinical practice, all while maintaining patient-centered care. Importantly, the effects of COVID-19 on these practices will be considered.
