Careers

The Gold Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a wide and influential reach in the healthcare industry. Over 30+ years, we have expanded from our roots in medical education to work with doctors and nurses, hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, community health centers, nursing and other healthcare schools, associations, fellow nonprofits and foundations, and global healthcare corporations. We believe that it takes a great and collective effort to create change and ensure humanism in healthcare for all.

Our programs include the Gold Humanism Honor Society, with 50,000+ members; the iconic White Coat Ceremony and Nursing Oath Ceremony, which emphasizes the importance of humanism from the start of training; and many prestigious awards that reinforce humanism, such as the National Humanism in Medicine Medal. We also create resources to support humanism, such as the Tell Me More® communications tool and the Gold Humanism Summit.

Our Mission: The Gold Foundation champions humanism in healthcare, which we define as clinically excellent care that is kind, safe, and trustworthy. This Gold standard of care embraces all and targets barriers to such care. We empower experts, learners, and leaders to create clinical and educational systems and cultures that support humanistic care for all.
