Friends and Family,
We’ve been working so hard on our upcoming virtual fundraising gala on June 10 and are really excited to share it with you! Because the gala is virtual this year, we would like to invite you, our friends and family, to this wonderful introduction to our mission with a contribution that you find meaningful. Any amount is welcome, and all funds go to support our programs for doctors, nurses, medical and nursing students and to bolster compassionate care for all of us. No amount is too small or too large.
It will be an entertaining and moving event at which we will honor hundreds of clinicians for their courage and compassion during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will award National Humanism in Medicine Medals to Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Chief Medical Advisor to President Biden; Dr. Wayne Riley, 17th President of SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the New York Academy of Medicine; and Dr. Eric Topol, renowned molecular cardiologist and researcher, futurist visionary, and bestselling author. Registered nurse and R&B star Felicia Temple will perform, and Gold Trustee Dr. Kimberly Manning will host this special evening.
