Thank a Resident Day

Led by the Gold Humanism Honor Society, Thank a Resident Day is a special day that takes place each year on the last Friday of February to collectively show gratitude and appreciation for resident physicians and fellows. They play an important role in humanism in healthcare both as compassionate doctors and as mentors to students and other trainees.

Thank a Resident Day will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025.

Any healthcare organization with resident physicians or fellows is encouraged to participate. Last year, more than 500 residency sites participated.
