The Research Institute

There is a pressing need to deepen our understanding of the complexities of humanism in medicine. In 2012, the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Research Institute was established to help accelerate discovery in humanism in healthcare, disseminate findings, and use those findings to make change.

Initiatives

  • Mapping the Landscape, Journeying Together – A community of practice engaged in research and advocacy to advance humanism in healthcare.
  • CHA-Gold Innovation Fellowship – A one-to-two year experience designed to introduce Fellows to the art and science of healthcare quality improvement and to help leaders cultivate the necessary knowledge, skills, dispositions to partner effectively with patients and communities to co-produce good healthcare outcomes.
  • Dissemination of research that deepens our understanding of humanism in healthcare.
