Through a gift from Dr. Ronald Arky, The Pearl Birnbaum Hurwitz Humanism in Healthcare Award will be presented annually to a woman who exemplifies humanism and has advanced, through her scholarship, advocacy, leadership or work, the well-being of vulnerable or underserved populations in the health care arena.
The winner will be presented with a plaque and a check for $1,000 from The Arnold P. Gold Foundation. The award will be presented at a ceremony in the Boston area in Fall 2015. The Foundation will cover the cost of the awardee’s expenses to attend the ceremony.
