Co-founder Dr. Arnold P. Gold receives Distinguished Alumnus Award from Babies Hospital at Columbia University

Dr. Arnold P. Gold, world-renowned pediatric neurologist at Columbia University College of Physician and Surgeons, received the Distinguished Alumnus Award posthumously from the Babies Hospital Alumni Association at Columbia University.

The Alumni Day also included the Hattie Alexander Memorial Lecture (Grand Rounds), “Preventing HIV in Babies: My Journey from A to Z (Alabama to Zambia),”  by Sten Vermund, MD, PhD, Dean, Yale School of Public Health, Anna M.R. Lauder Professor of Public Health and Professor of Pediatrics, Yale School of Medicine.

Following the lecture, the 2018 Babies Hospital Distinguished Alumnus Award was presented to Dr. Arnold Gold. His wife, Dr. Sandra Gold, accepted the award on his behalf.
